The jews felt
#1:
This picture represents the feeling of being burned. The Jews suffered through this feeling a lot during the Holocaust. Experiencing cremation was a part of life for those living in the camps. Also, the candle burned slowly much like the jews who were being burned in the fire pits. The heat of the candles resembles the heat that the jews felt when being burned to ashes.

This represents darkness. I chose this photo for the feeling of being scared. Darkness is a very creepy, horrifying thing. At the camps, each of the six million jews that were killed were scared to death. At night, they were scared if they would even see tomorrow and they were scared of the punishment and hurt that will come from the German soldiers. To experience such a tragic moment in life, anyone would be frightened and scared.
#3:
I took a photo of an empty cereal box. This resembles the feeling of hunger. Hunger was sadly a big feeling that everyone suffered in the concentration camps. They were barely fed anything; they were left to starve. The jews were only fed up to 900 calories a day. Each days meal was a piece of bread and a little bit of soup. In a Holocaust book called Night it talks about the Jewish holiday Yom kippur that is recognized with fasting. The book cited how the people in the camps called it Yom Kippur all year round, since there was hardly any food for them to eat.

This photo depicts freedom. The picture is being turned apart and burned. I believe that this defined one of the most important feelings felt in the Holocaust. I was trying to emphasize the feeling of not feeling important, and not being free.. The innocent jews witnessed all this happen right in front of their own eyes. For example, in the beginning they were all living their normal, happy lives. Their lives were suddenly changed completely. Their freedom was taken away from them as the Holocaust went on. They weren't allowed to go to local gatherings, and cafes. The jews weren't even treated as human beings.

This picture represents the feeling of sadness, for you use tissues when you are sad. I would be very sad if I or my family was dealt with this part of history. The jews definitely went through a phase of sadness during and after the Holocaust. Families were separated from one another. . One's family got taken away, and they would most likely never see them again. It happened so fast for them; they didn't even get to say goodbye.
#6:
The sixth photo resembles the feeling of pain. Bandaids are used a lot for when one gets hurt. The people in the concentration camps suffered from a lot of pain. The jews went from hunger pains, aching pains, sore pains, and pain in their whole entire body, They got whipped so often, they had cuts and scars on them. Beating was such a common thing inside the camps. If they weren't doing their work they would get whipped. If they were to slow, they would get hit and not receive any food later.
#7:
The feeling represented in this photo is torture. The jews were put through extreme amounts of torture during their time at the camps. The German soldiers used gas chambers to kill the jews. The German soldiers shoved dozens of them inside at a time. They would then lock them in there, and through gas bombs in the chamber. Slowly, when they would keep inhaling the gas it would go into their lungs and kill them. The gas chambers put the jews through a torturous and slow death.
#8:
This photo shows the feeling of being trapped. The gate in the photo blocks the animals from getting upstairs. The jews certainly felt trapped during the Holocaust. They were blocked into these camps with barbed wire fences, and a big gate. I would go insane if I was trapped, I don't know how they went through this horrific time. If they tried to escape, the barbed wire would cut and electrocute them. There was no way out of these camps.
#9:
The fist in this photo shows the feeling of anger. I picked this feeling to relate to the Holocaust because the jews were angry about what happened to them. They were all taken away from their home and imprisoned. The jews very mad because of all the right that were taken away from them. They were not understanding why they were chosen was another source of anger. Unfortunately, their anger was not enough to over power the Nazi regime.
